WHO WE ARE
Salt Monster Productions is an independent production company working across film, photography, literary writing, and theatre. We develop original work with attention to character, visceral atmosphere, and the relationship between a story and its form. Our interests include the pressures that shape human behavior, the complexities of human connection, and the ways people navigate circumstances beyond their control. Across disciplines, we approach each project with a commitment to thoughtful development, purposeful creative choices, and care in execution.
Salt Monster Productions is the home for our storytelling across disciplines. Its theatre arm, Salt Monster Theatre Co., develops and produces live performance.
Mission Statement:
To develop and produce original stories across visual, literary, and performing arts through careful craft, creative collaboration, and a clear commitment to each project’s distinct perspective.
Vision Statement:
To establish a lasting body of independent work recognized for its artistic integrity, emotional depth, and range across storytelling disciplines.

WHO WE ARE
Salt Monster Theatre Co., the live-performance arm of Salt Monster Productions, is a scrappy, sweat-and-sawdust company hellbent on shaking up the American stage with weird, original work. Founded in 2024, we fuse puppetry, movement, and raw performance to build strange worlds by hand. We make new plays that crawl out of the margins: performance that is funny, feral, and strange. We like it that way. We’re here for the beautiful, the broken, and the bizarre.
Mission Statement:
To nurture and amplify the voices of emerging playwrights and performers by producing original texts that push the boundaries of the American stage. We are dedicated to fostering artistic growth through providing a collaborative environment and innovative workshops in scriptwriting and acting that fuses stage combat, clowning, puppetry, and movement.
Vision Statement:
To become a leading avant-garde theatre company known for transforming the landscape of American theatre with groundbreaking productions that challenge conventions, inspire creativity, and cultivate a diverse community of daring and dynamic artists.
